Association "Russian Forest" became a member of the Council for the Forest Complex under the Federation Council

The Russian Forest Association, represented by First Vice-President Andrey Goncharov, became a member of the Expert Advisory Council for the Forestry Complex under the Committee of the Federation Council on Agrarian Food Policy and Nature Management.

The Expert Advisory Council for the Forestry Complex is a permanent advisory body under the parliamentary committee, which was established in 2015. Its key tasks are based on constant interaction with public authorities, public, scientific, research organizations and enterprises from different regions of the country.

Among the tasks are expert and advisory assistance in the activities of the Committee, its methodological and scientific support, as well as the development of recommendations and proposals for the implementation of state policy in the field of forest complex development.

The Council is headed by a senator, a representative of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Republic of Altai Tatyana Gigel, who has devoted more than 20 years of her career to forestry.

“The Expert Advisory Council for the Forestry Complex is an effective platform for developing measures to develop and decriminalize the forestry complex, as well as proposals to support the industry in the face of sanctions pressure from foreign states. Combining efforts will allow the Association to continue its work in these areas at a qualitatively new level,” Andrey Goncharov commented.
