Meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA

On April 23, a meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA was held under the leadership of the first president and chairman of the Board, Sergei Borisov. The event was attended by representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, VEB.RF, the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Sber, leading universities and the academic community. The Russian Timber Association was represented at the meeting by First Vice President Andrei Goncharov, who heads the OPORA RUSSIA Commission for the Forestry Complex.

The main topic of discussion was the participation of small and medium-sized businesses in the implementation of the Unified Plan for Achieving National Development Goals until 2030, and in the long term - until 2036. The document approved by the Government of Russia defines the key areas of state policy, support instruments and areas of responsibility of all participants in the process.

The meeting paid special attention to the possibilities of including SMEs in achieving the following priorities:

  • ensuring sustainable economic development and income growth of the population;
  • creating a comfortable and safe living environment;
  • supporting environmental well-being;
  • digital transformation of the economy and management;
  • unleashing human potential and fostering social responsibility;
  • strengthening the health and well-being of citizens.

Those present at the meeting noted that the involvement of small and medium-sized businesses in the implementation of the objectives of the Unified Plan is the most important condition for the sustainable development of the country. Representatives of business, government and the expert community discussed specific mechanisms of interaction that will allow entrepreneurs to become active participants in the implementation of national goals.
