Meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA
On November 27, a meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA was held under the leadership of the first president and chairman of the Board, Sergei Borisov. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sberbank, and Moscow State University took part in the discussion. The Russian Timber Association was represented by its First Vice President Andrey Goncharov, who heads the OPORA RUSSIA Commission for the Forest Complex.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of key problems and tasks facing Russian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of foreign economic activity in modern conditions.
Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of expanding cooperation between SMEs and the BRICS countries, China, Southeast Asian countries, including India and Vietnam, as well as with the regions of Africa, the EAEU and the Middle East.
The meeting participants developed recommendations for solving current problems faced by SMEs: issues of logistics, international payments and the development of partnerships. Proposals were also made by members of the Board of Trustees, regional representatives and industry unions aimed at supporting and developing the foreign economic activity of Russian enterprises.
