Meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA

On April 10, a meeting of the Board of Trustees of OPORA RUSSIA was held under the leadership of the first president and chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sergei Borisov. The Russian Forest Association was represented by its first vice-president Andrey Goncharov, who also heads the SUPPORT OF RUSSIA Commission on the forestry complex.

The main topic of the meeting was labor productivity in the SME sector - this is a pressing issue for small businesses, which is associated with the targets of the country's socio-economic development. Since 2011, Russia has seen a decline in the growth rate of average labor productivity. The President of the Russian Federation, in his address to the Federal Assembly, emphasized the relevance of this problem, and among the instructions, the task was set to ensure that the growth rate of income per employee employed in the SME sector is higher than the growth rate of GDP.

Participants of the meeting, among whom were representatives of federal authorities, financial organizations, development institutions, leaders of OPORA RUSSIA, the Association NP OPORA and other business associations, presented their proposals for forming a position on the implementation of projects to increase labor productivity at enterprises, namely:

  • It is necessary to create a National Movement in support of labor productivity, the work of which will be focused on developing the necessary goals and tools, receiving feedback from authorities and assistance in fine-tuning and implementing the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”;
  • The toolkit for increasing labor productivity should be expanded;
  • The specialized committee of OPORA RUSSIA has developed a large-scale concept for a program to increase labor productivity, taking into account international experience. This program is aimed at increasing the motivation of managers and owners of companies to this issue, directly stimulating enterprises participating in the program, explaining and popularizing, as well as training specialists in universities.

OPORA RUSSIA and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, together with other business associations, will continue to promote common developments to significantly increase labor productivity for their effective implementation.
