The Ministry of Natural Resources presented the forestry sector budget for the next three years.

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment presented the draft federal budget for 2026-2028. The total funding for the agency will exceed 1 trillion rubles, of which 250 billion will be allocated for the development and restoration of forestry. This draft budget for the next three years is a comprehensive program to strengthen the material base and human resources of the forestry industry.

FIRE FIGHTING

The budget includes the creation of 19 new forest firefighting units, the purchase of 647 units of equipment, and the development of aerial and ground monitoring. For the first time, a separate line item has been allocated to increase the salaries of forest firefighters and paratroopers.

SUPPORT FOR SPECIALISTS

The budget provides for a salary increase for forestry workers and the purchase of 327 units of forestry equipment, which will improve efficiency and safety.

FORESTATION

Over three years, it is planned to restore forests on an area of ​​325,000 hectares, as well as create new nurseries. The agency emphasizes that each new forestry operation is an investment in the future for decades to come.
