Joint meeting of the presidiums of the boards of OPORA RUSSIA and the Association NP OPORA
A joint meeting of the presidiums of the boards of OPORA RUSSIA and the Association NP OPORA was held on October 25 with the participation of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The Association Russian Timber was represented at the event by its First Vice President Andrey Goncharov, who also heads the OPORA RUSSIA Commission on the Forest Complex.
The main topic of discussion was the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", within the framework of which it is planned to implement seven federal projects aimed at achieving national goals. Among the key areas is the federal project "SMEs and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives". The project's objectives remain unchanged: increasing the income of small business employees, improving access to financial resources and expanding the coverage of small businesses with infrastructure support.
However, current economic conditions, including an increase in the key rate and a reduction in available financing, pose serious challenges to small businesses. It is expected that in the context of expensive loans, entrepreneurs will be forced to compensate for expenses by increasing prices for products.
Alexander Kalinin, President of OPORA RUSSIA: “In the context of increased credit burden, we consider it critically important to maintain co-financing of support centers throughout the country. It is also necessary to develop tax support measures and expand the range of financial assistance tools for entrepreneurs.”
In addition, during the meeting, those present heard reports from OPORA RUSSIA coordinators in federal districts on the results of their work over the past two years and discussed organizational issues for upcoming events.
