The forestry labor market: results for the first nine months of 2025
Analysts from the job and employee search service HeadHunter have summarized the results of January-September 2025 and determined which specialists are most in demand in the forestry industry today.
Since the beginning of the year, employers in the industry have posted over 40,000 vacancies on the platform. The main regions by volume of offers are:
- Moscow - 15%;
- Moscow Region - 13%;
- St. Petersburg - 8%;
- Perm Krai - 4%;
- Leningrad Region and Krasnodar Krai - 3% each.
The top ten also included the Irkutsk, Sverdlovsk, Arkhangelsk, Kaluga, and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Komi Republic, and Khabarovsk Krai.
Blue-collar jobs lead the way among occupations, reflecting a general shift in emphasis in the industry. The greatest demand is for drivers, production line operators, mechanics, general laborers, machinists, packers, and electricians. Office specialists are also in demand: sales and purchasing managers, accountants, engineers, and site foremen.
In 2025, the median salary in the forestry complex was 82,100 rubles, 2,700 rubles higher than in 2024 and 12,300 rubles more than in 2022. Maximum bids increased from 149 to 154 thousand rubles.
