Russian universities with forestry professions
The personnel shortage remains one of the most acute problems in the forestry industry: according to experts, it reaches 15%. Universities in different regions of the country are working to solve it, offering modern educational programs and actively cooperating with businesses.
VSTU named after G.F. Morozov
Voronezh State Forest Engineering University named after G.F. Morozov has been operating since 1930 and has trained over 16,000 specialists: forestry scientists, forestry and forest park engineers, and ecologists. The focus of personnel training is rational forest management, protection of black soils and conservation of natural areas. The programs cover forestry, landscape architecture, and ecology. Training is conducted taking into account international standards.
MSTU named after Bauman
The Faculty of Forestry and Forest Industry Technologies trains engineering personnel with an emphasis on sustainable forest management, wood processing, and environmental engineering.
The educational and experimental forestry enterprise and laboratories allow applying knowledge in practice. Joint projects are implemented with the Federal Forestry Agency, Titan, and Segezha Group. The graduate employment rate is 95%.
SPbGLTU
St. Petersburg Forest Engineering University is the oldest specialized university in our country. Over the decades, it has trained more than 75 thousand specialists.
The university offers 21 bachelor's and 13 master's degree programs, and implements research projects in the field of reforestation, bioenergy, and forest economics. Works with 500 foreign students. Actively cooperates with industry enterprises and authorities.
Syktyvkar Forestry Institute
Key university of the Komi Republic for training personnel for the forestry industry. Trains students in 18 areas, conducts applied research, participates in international projects (Finland, Sweden, Norway).
Equipped with modern laboratories, actively cooperates with industrial partners. Graduates are in demand in the region and beyond.
