Rosleskhoz presented a concept for the development of the FSIS for the forest complex for 2026
The head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Ivan Sovetnikov, held a meeting with the expert community, where he presented the key development areas for the FGIS LK for the coming year. The new concept is based on proposals from the forestry business, regional agencies, and federal authorities.
Ivan Sovetnikov, head of the Federal Forestry Agency: “This year, when preparing the terms of reference, we adjusted the approach itself. Our task is to listen to colleagues from the regions and representatives of the forestry business, those who work with the system daily and can submit proposals for its improvement. We systematized everything that was submitted and prepared new terms of reference. We must continue to refine the interface to make it convenient, comfortable, and easy for users to use. Filters and favorites must also be added.”
The Federal Forestry Agency received over 600 proposals, which are systematized by topic. The key priorities of the concept are Simplifying and optimizing the work of forest users, implementing artificial intelligence (AI), expanding the range of services, and creating new subsystems.
Main development areas:
- Automatic completion of reports on forest use and restoration;
- Expansion of the list of documents generated in the system (forest fire reports, forest development projects, etc.);
- Further development of timber accounting and forest protection subsystems;
- Implementation of a role model for large organizations;
- Creation of three new subsystems: remote monitoring, forest climate projects, and AI.
The AI subsystem will be able to automatically determine the volume of timber from a photo of a timber truck or stack and generate documents based on the data obtained.
Furthermore, a mechanism for evaluating public services will be introduced in the FGIS LC, which will allow for their quality to be analyzed and improved. efficiency of government agencies.
