By the end of 2025, sawn timber exports will grow by 5%
Russian sawn timber exports grew by 5% in 2025. The volume of deliveries reached almost 24 million m3, exceeding the 2024 figure (22.7 million m3).
The data is confirmed by the Federal State Information System of the Land Register: 368 thousand export transactions were completed during the year, and the geography of deliveries covered 40 friendly countries.
Key export destinations:
China is the main market for Russian sawn timber, with deliveries amounting to 13.4 million m3, more than half of all exports;
Central Asia is Stable demand from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan remains one of the most stable destinations in terms of contract dynamics;
Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and Tajikistan—the presence of Russian products is gradually expanding in these countries, with an increase in regular deliveries.
93.6% of exports were softwood lumber—softwood products remain the backbone of Russian forestry exports thanks to stable demand and well-established logistics.
