Reporting meeting of the Association "NP "OPORA"

On February 8, the XV General Meeting of the Association “NP OPORA” was held, at which the results of the work for 2023 were summed up and priorities for the new period were outlined. The event was attended by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov. The Russian Timber Association was represented by its first vice-president Andrey Goncharov, who also heads the SUPPORT OF RUSSIA Commission on the forestry complex.

The central theme of the meeting was the discussion of issues of supporting and providing conditions for the effective growth of enterprises from various sectors of the SME sector.

Maxim Reshetnikov, head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: “There are now more than 6.3 million legal entities and individual entrepreneurs working in the country, the number of newly created companies has increased by 17%, tax revenues have increased by a quarter, and the average salary of SME employees is by 15%. The largest customers purchased goods and services from SMEs worth almost 8 trillion rubles, My Business Centers provided support to more than half a million SMEs, self-employed and individual entrepreneurs, businesses received about 400 thousand services on the platform МСП.РФ».

In addition, the minister noted the growth of key industry indicators, including as a result of the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises,” initiated by the President of the Russian Federation.

President of OPORA RUSSIA Alexander Kalinin noted that a constructive dialogue has been established between the department and OPORA RUSSIA on key areas of SME development. In terms of the work of industry associations, the SUPPORT OF RUSSIA Commission on the forestry complex was noted as one of the most effective.

Experts and representatives of industry associations and unions also made a number of proposals, the implementation of which will help achieve more comfortable functioning of enterprises. Among the main goals for the new period is the search for new reserves for further growth and development of the SME sector.
