Reporting meeting of the Association "NP "OPORA"

On February 11, the XVI General Meeting of the Association "NP "OPORA" was held, where the results of work for 2024 were summed up and the development strategy for the current period was defined. The head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov took part in the event. The Association "Russian Timber" was represented by its First Vice President and Chairman of the Commission of "OPORA RUSSIA" on the forest complex Andrey Goncharov.

The main focus of the meeting was to discuss measures to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and create conditions for their sustainable growth. During the discussion, the participants considered key issues of concern to the business community:

  • expansion of available SME support measures within the framework of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship", initiated by the President of the Russian Federation, and their impact on the growth of employee incomes;
  • inclusion of SMEs in the implementation of the Unified Plan and the achievement of national goals;
  • participation of SMEs in programs to improve labor productivity.

President of "OPORA RUSSIA" Alexander Kalinin noted that a constructive dialogue has been established between the organization and the departments aimed at developing entrepreneurship and removing existing barriers. Based on the results of the past year, the work of the Commission on the Forestry Complex was noted as one of the most effective. For his contribution to the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia, Andrey Goncharov was awarded an honorary diploma from OPORA RUSSIA.

Last week, on February 3, the Center for Expertise and Analysis of Entrepreneurship Problems of OPORA RUSSIA presented the first issue of the analytical digest "Small News" in 2025.

The main topic of the issue is "SME Register - Statistics for the Year". The issue also contains information on changes in legislation coming into force in February, new regulations for business and the legal positions of the Constitutional Court. In addition, the digest reflects the key initiatives and proposals of OPORA RUSSIA for January.

Based on the results of the meeting, decisions were developed aimed at eliminating industry restrictions and strengthening business support. Their implementation will accelerate the growth of the SME sector and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs.
