Reporting meeting of the Association NP "OPORA"

February 8, the XIV General Meeting of the NP OPORA Association took place, at which the results of work for 2022 were summed up and priorities for the new period were outlined. The Russian Forest Association was represented at the meeting by First Vice-President Andrey Goncharov, who also heads the OPORA RUSSIA commission for the timber industry and forestry.

The central topic of the meeting was the discussion of the development of industry-specific small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and the development of priority areas for supporting Russian small businesses - Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, took part in the discussion.

The main results of the work of the NP OPORA Association for 2022 were the promotion of the interests of entrepreneurs at the federal and regional levels, as well as maintaining a stable connection between industry business and government. It was the expertise of industry members of the Association that made it possible to introduce a number of measures to support specific areas of the economy and prevent additional burden on business. In terms of the work of industry associations, the president of NP OPORA, Alexander Kalinin, noted the activities of the Russian Forest association as one of the most effective.

The participants of the general meeting emphasized that the development of SMEs requires a structural transformation of the economy, large-scale economic deregulation, the introduction of preferential tax regimes, new investment models and many systemic and sectoral changes.
