The volume of timber trades on the St. Petersburg Exchange has reached 1 million m3 since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2025, more than 1 million m3 of timber have been sold at the St. Petersburg Exchange, and the total turnover has exceeded 1.8 billion rubles. 2,370 contracts have been concluded.
Enterprises from 35 regions of Russia, including forestry enterprises, commercial companies, individual entrepreneurs and FSIN structures, participate in the exchange trading. Buyers are registered in 45 regions of the country, as well as in Kazakhstan.
Alexey Ryzhikov, Senior Managing Director of the St. Petersburg Exchange: “This year, we continue to actively work on decriminalizing the industry, attracting new regions to the exchange and launching export routes for timber trade. We also plan to develop cooperation with industry organizations (both domestic and foreign) and add new tools.”.
The leaders in sales volumes in the first months of 2025 were Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Republic of Tatarstan, Tver Oblast, Udmurtia and Tomsk Oblast.
