New forestry educational clusters opened in Russian regions

The active creation of educational clusters continues in the forestry complex. The shortage of personnel remains one of the key problems of the industry. Thus, the expansion of the system of training specialists is a strategic priority for both the state and business.
Arkhangelsk Region
A new educational and production cluster in the forestry industry will begin operating in Koryazhma Industrial College in 2026. It is being created within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" with the support of a grant from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in the amount of 100 million rubles.
The Ilim Group will act as the supporting enterprise. In addition, another 106 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget and from employers for the modernization of the material and technical base. The classrooms will be renovated, modern equipment will be installed, and new programs focused on practice will be developed.
From 2026 to 2028, it is planned to train more than 1,300 specialists in 16 educational programs.
