The sixth season of the all-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” has started in Kamchatka

The sixth season of the All-Russian campaign "Save the Forest" has started in Kamchatka Krai. As part of the project, participants planted birch trees and carried out agrotechnical care for the trees that were planted earlier.

Ivan Sovetnikov, head of the Federal Forestry Agency: "This year marks the start of the sixth season of the forest restoration campaign "Save the Forest". This is a large-scale environmental initiative that annually unites thousands of people: foresters, volunteer organizations, and concerned citizens. Our country's forests are being restored through joint efforts. The goal is to plant 70 million new trees this year. Traditionally, the "Save the Forest" campaign also has an educational function: thematic master classes, lectures, and events will be held to talk about caring for nature. I invite you to take part in the autumn forest restoration campaign and contribute to the increase of forests in Russia."

The environmental initiative "Save the Forest" will operate in all regions of the country until November. Since 2019, about 300 million trees have been planted within the framework of this project.
