Global Investment Conference in Shenyang

On February 18, the Global Investment Conference dedicated to the development of an international center in Northeast Asia was held in Shenyang (PRC). The event was organized by the People's Government of Shenyang. Among the participants were representatives of government agencies and businesses, investors from different countries. The Russian Timber Association at the event in the VKS format, its First Vice President Andrey Goncharov presented it.

Key topics of the conference:

• presentation of the plan for the development of Shenyang as an international city, including a strategy for attracting foreign investors;
• discussion of the policy for supporting investment projects in the region;
• presentation of priority areas of cooperation, including in the forestry complex.

New opportunities for Russian-Chinese partnership

The Global Investment Conference is traditionally a platform for establishing business contacts between Chinese and foreign companies. This year, the focus is on cooperation in the automotive industry, aviation industry, robotics, logistics, agro-industrial complex and woodworking.

Results of the event

The meeting ended with the signing of agreements on key projects that open up new prospects for international cooperation. The Russian Timber Association will continue to work on developing investment cooperation with Chinese partners.
