Export Digest: Demand for Russian Timber Continues to Grow
From January to October 2025, more than 378,000 export transactions were recorded in the FGIS LK—a 28.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The volume of lumber shipments to friendly countries increased to 18 million m3, which is 10.4% higher than last year.
According to Vyacheslav Spirenkov, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, the growth in volumes is due not only to increased demand but also to the agency's effective interaction with customs authorities. This allows for the prompt verification of electronic documents and expedites delivery of products to their destinations.
