11.5% growth in forestry revenues in Russia in 2025
Forestry revenues in Russia have exceeded 55 billion rubles since the beginning of 2025. This is 11.5% more than in the same period last year.
Anastasia Vinokurova, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency: "Our plan for 2025 is set at 57.9 billion rubles. To achieve these targets, regional forestry agencies must organize proper work with forest users and prevent arrears in forest use payments and overdue debt."
The main sources of revenue today are timber harvesting, geological exploration of the subsoil, construction of linear facilities, and recreational activities. Forest management plays an important role as a tool for accurately accounting for resources and planning their use. Since 2022, more than 40 million hectares of forests have been managed in the country.
Additional growth potential comes from expanding auctions and engaging small and medium-sized businesses in timber harvesting. These measures are expected to further increase forestry profitability.
