Day of National Priorities “Efficient and Competitive Economy”

On May 8, the Day of National Priorities “Efficient and Competitive Economy” is being held at the exhibition and forum “Russia” in Moscow. The event is dedicated to the prospects for the development of various sectors of the economy and key aspects of interaction between business and government. The Russian Timber Association is represented by its first vice-president Andrey Goncharov.

As part of the event, a plenary session has already taken place, and industry panels will be held throughout the day.

  • The plenary session “Efficient and Competitive Economy” is the central event of the day. Among the participants are... O. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov and acting. O. Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov. The main topics of the session were issues related to supply-side economics, labor productivity, and the role of federal and regional authorities in improving the investment climate. The session also addressed issues of supporting high-tech industries, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and business activity. The event participants discussed the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, the influence of the financial sector on attracting investment by enterprises and the removal of transport and logistics restrictions to ensure the country's logistics sovereignty.
  • As part of the Day of National Priorities, two industry panels will be held: “Labor Productivity” and “Investment Climate: What are the Prospects in 2024?” Experts will evaluate how effectively the government, business and regions cooperate to improve the investment climate. They will consider how the Regional Investment Standard is being implemented, including the feedback mechanism from business, and will also summarize the results of the national project “Labor Productivity.”
  • Another expert panel, organized jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, is “The Future of Russia in Entrepreneurship.” Here, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses will discuss the role of SMEs in economic growth, ways to achieve a technological breakthrough, and the state’s readiness to compete in the global high-tech market.

The International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” is the largest event in the modern history of our country. Its goal is to demonstrate the most important achievements of the Russian Federation and the positive experience of the development of its regions.
