The growth of production in the Russian forest industry complex over 10 months amounted to 2–5%

For the period from January to October 2024, the forestry complex of Russia showed an increase in production in key segments by 2-5%. This was reported by the Director of the Department of Light Industry and Forestry Complex of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vera Khmyrova at the international forum "Russian Timber" in Vologda.

The largest increase was recorded in the production of:

• wood boards (an increase of 25%);
• furniture (20%);
• veneer (20%).

Plywood production increased by 5%, the volume of logging increased by 3.4%. Exports of forestry products increased by 29%.

Demand for the industry's products reached 2 trillion rubles, which is 25% more than in the same period last year. The profit of forest industry enterprises increased by 62% over nine months, revenue by 23%. At the same time, wood waste processing decreased by 20% compared to 2023.
